Haven’t been here in years. I now live out of state. Came in for the nostalgia. Ordered a $3 cappuccino. Was charged $3.75. Am I paying 75 cents for a dollop of honey?! If so, why wasn’t I informed? Not the best customer service. Not as good as I remember it. 😩

We go to Butterfly Herbs every month on the same day for an outing. We live the atmosphere, service, herbs and teas, candles, music, owners - you name it. I haven’t posted pictures because it’s always so busy - it’s hard to get any without someone in it! If you’re passing through Missoula and would like a truly Missoula experience- stop in for something from their cafe or retail store. The cafe is cash only, however if you’re shopping in the retail store, you can pay debit/credit for your cafe purchase on the retail side. You must pay before they will serve you. Their coffee is amazing- my favorite in Missoula. Their soups and hummus are superb too. Their sandwiches have reliably fresh ingredients. The bathrooms are in the basement- down a steep set of stairs. They always have art from local artists hanging on the wall in the cafe. If you’re an art collector and like to look for new artists- this is a great place to look!

This place has such a great vibe! It's an old pharmacy, the front of which is now herbs and coffees, household tools and decor items. At the back of the store there's an old soda fountain. You order, and must pay cash only, at the register. You can sit either in a booth or at the stools along the counter, to wait for your ice cream treats or coffee or baked goods or sandwiches. I can vouch for how wonderful their coffee ice cream soda is, and my son and I both were delighted with our toasted cheese sandwiches with veggies on ciabatta rolls.

Got the espresso shake a couple of times and man, was it good. Highly recommend something from the cash only-espresso bar. It's also just such a unique little place and smells amazing. Love the vibe. They have a ton of cute pottery for sale as well. Had I any room in my suitcase, I would have grabbed some.

Love the cafe here! Great place to go when you are looking for a quiet spot for breakfast, lunch, or simply a nice cup of coffee (the baristas make amazing lattes!). The Butterfly Club is delicious and don’t leave without trying a slice of their Huckleberry Coffeecake. They also sell bulk spices, loose leaf tea, and artwork from local artists.
